About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Compassion Worship Center has been reaching, touching and changing lives one at a time by leading and equipping each one in their influence in the love of Jesus displayed through the Cross.

The Seed

In the year 1993, the church was founded to be a beacon of hope and love to the destitute, distraught and outcast of the society by Pas. Joseph Mcwin, who gave up a stabilised career of more than 20yrs in a automotive company. The genuine compassion for the broken and a deep rooted desire to led him to not only serve but also preach and live the gospel to them.

Early Growth

On these foundations the church gathered initially at a home in Bangalore. Raising children who were orphaned and destitute, supporting widows, feeding the hungry on a regular basis became a part of the outreach programs inspite of humble beginnings. Although Pas. Joseph Mcwin was called to his eternal home in 1997, only four years after establishing the church.

The Multiplication

The vision still carried on, the church continued being a blessing to its members and friends through the  ministry of the family members. Today Compassion Worship Center is widening its wings in worship, community ministry, and primarily preaching the gospel and baptising the believers and established branches in the southern states of India.

The church that once started in a home has now branched out to six different cities and villages with multiple services in each Center and outreach ministry and community support as the Lord enables and leads.

Everyone from every walk of life will be welcomed just as they are to be a part of Compassion Worship Center without the pressure of religion, ritual and tradition. The church community strives to love one another inspite of various differences thus bringing in a diverse culture that represents the body of Christ. Come, be a part of a growing community that is impacting the world with the love of Jesus, one at a time!
